Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge

Welcome to Arnie's Home

Golf Resort

The Bay Hill Resort offers more than just golf. Located adjacent to Walt Disney World and all of the amusement parks; the resorts features: a 27 hole professional golf course, luxury amenities and 3 restaurants: Grill & Classic, Bay Window and the great Member's Lounge serving wine, beer and cocktails.

Its spectacular course, opened in 1961, runs 270 acres along the shores of the Butler Chain of Lakes and is home of the PGA TOUR’s Arnold Palmer Invitational. Walk in the footsteps of legends, refine your game on a world-class practice facility and enjoy the hometown feel and vibes at Bay Hill.

In 1965 "The King" (Arnold Palmer) first visited the course and fell in love, and it was not until 1976 that he decided to buy the entire club and transform it into his home during the harsh cold weather months of Philadelphia. Palmer lived here during the winters for more than 40 years and every corner of the resort bears the stamp of the most charismatic and beloved golfer in golf history. Walk through the halls of the Lodge and admire photos, awards, trophies and memorabilia of Arnie’s golfing career.

Challenger - Champion

Challenger - Champion

This Dick Wilson masterpiece is a PGA Tour Championship course that hosts every year the Arnold Palmer Invitational. It has almost 7,400 yards long, it features wide fairways, huge bunkers protecting the landing areas, and large greens with plenty of movement. The 6th hole is one of the most recognisable holes on the course. It is a par 5 which bends almost 180 degrees from tee to green, and the 18th that features a pond guarding the front of the putting surface and the stone front where Tiger celebrated 8 titles.

Charger

Charger

It is an excellent 9-hole course, just 200 yards shorter than the other courses. Its layout unfolds on the same ground and intersects the Challenger. You might want to consider playing the fun Challenger-Charger or Charger-Champion combinations. The 3rd hole of the Charger 9 is a par 4 that measures only 313 yards, it is key to find the fairway with your tee shot.

When to travel

When to travel

Although Florida can be visited throughout the year, temperatures can be very warm from June to August, and this area is prone to hurricanes during the months of June until October. We suggest travelling during the months of November to May, and experience more pleasant temperatures. Book 60 to 90 days in advance to secure preferred tee times.
